ADEY MagnaClean Professional 2XP 28mm Large System Filter
The ADEY MagnaClean Professional 2XP is the high-capacity step up from the flagship Professional 2 range — engineered for larger domestic and light commercial heating systems where 28mm pipework and higher flow rates demand a bigger filter. With a bi-directional in-line design, dual-action magnetic and non-magnetic filtration, and flow rates up to 70 litres per minute, the 2XP delivers professional-grade protection on larger properties, multi-radiator systems, and commercial-adjacent installations with the same fast installation characteristics trusted engineers rely on.
28mm compression fittings match the larger pipework diameters typical of multi-zone systems, properties with many radiators, and light commercial applications. Supporting flow rates up to 70 litres per minute, the 2XP handles higher-demand circuits without the pressure restriction that a smaller-bore filter would introduce.
Like the Professional 2, the 2XP uses a bi-directional in-line layout — either port acts as inlet or outlet — slotting directly into existing pipework runs. This eliminates the need for additional bends or adaptors on retrofit jobs and keeps installation time to a minimum, regardless of pipework orientation.
A high-strength rare-earth magnet in a stainless steel housing removes magnetite sludge from the circulating water, while a non-magnetic debris mesh captures scale and particulate. This dual mechanism addresses both the primary and secondary causes of heat exchanger fouling in larger systems.
The fully removable filter canister takes all captured magnetite out of the system when serviced — preventing debris from re-entering the circuit as it would with a wand-only design. Isolation valves allow the canister to be removed and cleaned at annual service without draining the entire system.
An integrated dosing port allows ADEY MC1+ Protector or MC3+ Cleaner to be introduced into the system quickly, without the need to drain down. This is particularly useful on larger systems where a full drain-down for inhibitor dosing would be time-consuming.
Fully compatible with the ADEY MagnaCleanse® power-flush system. On dirty larger systems with significant sludge loading, power-flush first with the filter canister removed, then refit the 2XP and dose with MC1+ Protector to maintain a clean, corrosion-inhibited circuit going forward.
