At 12mm diameter, this ultra-flexible polybutylene barrier pipe fits directly into the grooves of the Overlay floor panels and the channels of the Overlay end returns (PB08573), producing a total installed system depth of just 18mm. Available in 50m (UFH5012B) and 80m (UFH8012B) coil lengths to match the circuit size requirement. UFH pipe only — not suitable for plumbing, gas, or potable water.

The Overlay system is designed for room-by-room circuits with a maximum circuit length of 80m (inclusive of connection tails). Each circuit should not exceed 80m; for larger areas, split into multiple circuits on the manifold. Polypipe Overlay panels are designed for circuits up to 15m² per panel run — larger rooms may require multiple circuits and multiple rows of panels with their own end returns.

The Overlay System — Over-the-Floor UFH

The Polypipe Overlay™ system is designed specifically for retrofit and renovation projects where traditional solid-floor underfloor heating is impractical — no excavation is required, and the entire system installs over the existing floor surface.
