The Drayton Wiser Electrical Heat Switch (WE714U1A0902) is a hard-wired smart switching device that brings any electrical heating appliance into your Wiser smart home ecosystem. Whether you have electric underfloor heating, electric radiators, towel rails or infrared panel heaters, this device lets you schedule and control them remotely via the Wiser Home app — just like your wet central heating system.

With a 16A relay capable of switching loads up to 3680W, it handles everything from a modest bathroom towel rail to a full electric underfloor heating circuit. Being hard-wired rather than plug-in, it also acts as a permanent ZigBee range extender, improving wireless signal reliability throughout your home. One Wiser Room Thermostat and one HubR are required per heat switch — neither are included and must be purchased separately.

Installation Notes

The Electrical Heat Switch must be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with current IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671). It is not SELV — fixed wiring connection to the mains supply is required. The unit should be mounted below or to the side of the heat source; it must not be mounted behind or above a wall-mounted heater. Rubber grommets are provided for cable entry; blanking plugs seal any unused openings to maintain IP44 protection.
