The SigenStack Battery Controller M2-0.5C BOOST (BST) is the intelligent power management unit required in every SigenStack installation where the system includes PV or contains fewer than 19 battery modules. The "BST" (Boost) designation indicates its key differentiating capability: it can boost battery voltage up to the start-up voltage required by the Sigen C&I Hybrid Inverter, allowing the system to start from battery alone — without relying on the PV array to initiate the boot sequence. This is essential for systems with PV (all solar-plus-storage installations) and for smaller stacks below the 19-module threshold where battery voltage alone may not reach inverter start-up levels. The controller operates across a 550–1100V DC voltage range, delivers a nominal 157A charge/discharge current, and communicates via CAN protocol. Built-in aerosol fire suppression, thermal runaway protection, and IP66 housing maintain the safety standards expected of commercial energy storage.
