Portrait Orientation G1 & M10 Module Formats Rectangular Arrays Clearline Fusion System 11 Variants BBA & MCS Certified Viridian Solar
The Viridian Clearline Fusion F16 Portrait Roofing Kit range provides all the flashing kits required to build a rectangular in-roof solar array in portrait orientation using Clearline PV16 modules. Available in G1 format (for PV16-335-G1, 1,000mm wide) and M10 format (for PV16-405-M10, 1,134mm wide). Five kit positions — Left (TL), Centre (TC), Right (TR), Row-above (TY), and Joining (J) — combine in defined quantities to frame any n×m rectangular array. A combined Left+Right (T-LR) kit is also available for 1×n single-column arrays. All kits work with both tile and slate roofs (sarking board roofs require the matching SB16 sarking bracket kit in addition). Each kit includes all flashings, gutters, brackets, joining strips and fixings for that position.
ℹ️ How to count kits for your array: For an n×m portrait array (n rows, m columns), the formula is: 1× TL · (m−2)× TC · 1× TR · (n−1)× TY · (n−1)×(m−1)× J. For example, a 3×3 array (9 panels) needs: 1× TL, 1× TC, 1× TR, 2× TY, 4× J.

Frequently Asked Questions
QCan I mix G1 and M10 kits on the same roof?
No. G1 and M10 kits are not interchangeable — the module widths (1,000mm vs 1,134mm) and all flashing dimensions are different. An array must use all-G1 or all-M10 kits consistently throughout. Do not install G1 modules with M10 flashings or vice versa.
QHow many of each kit do I need for my array?
Use the formula: 1× TL · (m−2)× TC · 1× TR · (n−1)× TY · (n−1)×(m−1)× J, where n = rows and m = columns. For a single-column array (m=1), use 1× T-LR-G1 instead of TL/TC/TR, plus (n−1)× J. For a 2×1 array (2 wide, 1 tall), use VAT16 single-panel kits rather than TL/TR.
QWhat is the T-LR-G1 combined kit?
The F16-T-LR-G1 combines the components of both the TL (left) and TR (right) kits into one package. It is designed for single-column arrays (1×n — one column of panels) in G1 format, where the same panel forms both the left and right edge of the array. No TC or TY kits are needed; only T-LR-G1 and J kits are required (J for each row join above the bottom).
QMy roof has 22mm tile battens — what do I need?
Standard Clearline Fusion kits include brackets for 25mm battens. For 22mm battens, purchase the B22 kit (replaces rafter brackets, item 12) and B22J kit (replaces combi-rafter brackets, item 13) in addition to the standard flashing kits. These are separate accessory kits.
QMy roof has no tile battens (sarking boards) — what do I need?
Purchase the appropriate SB16 sarking bracket kit matching each flashing kit type (SB16-L for TL, SB16-C for TC, SB16-R for TR, SB16-Y for TY, SB16-J for J). These replace the rafter and combi-rafter brackets with longer variants that screw through the sarking deck into the rafters below.
QDoes Clearline Fusion work with slate roofs?
Yes. The system is designed for both interlocking tiles and slate roofs. For slate, align the bottom edge of panels with the slate coursing and set the bottom clearance to 130mm. The sill flashing dresses down over the slates in the same way as for tiles.
QWhat is the minimum order quantity?
Flashing kits are sold individually — buy exactly the quantity required for your array. Use the kit count formula to calculate quantities before ordering.
QIs the Clearline Fusion system MCS certified?
Yes. The system holds MCS 005 (modules) and MCS 012 (mounting systems) approval, and is BBA Certificate 0032 certified for structural durability and weathertightness.
