The Salus Smart Home Base Pack contains the three components that every Salus Smart Home heating installation starts with: the UG800 Universal Gateway, the SQ610RF Quantum smart thermostat and the RX10RF boiler receiver. Together they form a complete single-zone Zigbee 3.0 heating control system for gas, LPG, oil or electric boilers — or a wet underfloor heating circuit — with full remote app and voice control from day one, and a clear path to expand.
The ultra-slim 86 × 86 × 11 mm SQ610RF Quantum uses a rechargeable Li-Ion battery and a magnetic wall plate — no mains wiring or back box at the thermostat position. Its ITLC algorithm provides precision temperature control for radiators and underfloor heating alike. The RX10RF receiver wires to the boiler and can be set as a boiler switch (RX1) or zone receiver (RX2). The UG800 connects everything to the Salus Premium Lite app — adding SALUS Sense AI energy optimisation, OneTouch automation and voice control via Alexa and Google Home.
At just 11 mm deep, the SQ610RF is one of the slimmest smart thermostats available. A rechargeable Li-Ion battery (micro-USB) removes the need for mains wiring; the magnetic backing plate means it can be repositioned without tools. The 3.5" glass-fronted LCD with touch controls shows temperature, schedule and mode at a glance.
The ITLC algorithm continuously adjusts the heating demand based on how far the room is from the setpoint and the rate of change — not a simple on/off hysteresis switch. The SQ610RF handles both heating and cooling. If internet is lost, all three devices continue running on stored schedules in offline local mode, with full app features resuming automatically when connectivity returns.
