KEY FEATURES
ECM Permanent Magnet Motor — Up to 80% Energy Saving

The Pulse Trade uses an electronically commutated permanent magnet (ECM) motor — the same technology found in premium European circulators — to achieve an EEI of ≤ 0.20, the ErP A-rating best in class. In a typical household where conventional pumps consume 10–20% of total electricity, switching to the Pulse Trade can reduce pump energy use by up to 80%.

Four Operating Modes — Including Smartadapt AUTO

Select the mode that suits your system from four options: AUTO Smartadapt (self-learning, ideal for two-circuit and UFH systems), Proportional Pressure PP1/PP2 (best for heating circulation), Constant Pressure CP1/CP2 (ideal for underfloor heating manifolds), and Constant Speed I, II, III (for legacy or fixed-speed applications). All modes are selectable via the two-button LED panel.

Automatic Night Setback

The automatic night reduction function monitors flow temperature and automatically switches the pump to reduced power when the flow temperature drops by more than 10–15 °C in one hour — a reliable proxy for the heating system being in night setback or off. It returns to full operation as soon as the flow temperature rises 3 °C. Available in all modes except constant speed.

130 mm Fitting Length — Direct Replacement

With a standard 130 mm centre-to-centre fitting length and G 1½" threaded connections, the Pulse Trade is a direct replacement for the vast majority of existing domestic circulators including older Grundfos, Wilo, and Lowara units at this fitting length — eliminating the need for adapter pieces or pipework modification.

Robust Cast Iron Pump Housing

The cast iron pump body provides the structural integrity and durability expected of a trade-specification circulator used in demanding heating and UFH environments. Rated to TF 110 temperature class, with a medium temperature range of +5 °C to 110 °C (at ≤ 25 °C ambient) and maximum system pressure of 10 bar.

Built-in Protection & Anti-Lock Function

The Pulse Trade incorporates built-in over-current, temperature, and overvoltage protection to safeguard both pump and system. The anti-lock function prevents the pump from seizing during prolonged idle periods — particularly useful in seasonal heating systems or systems that are shut down during summer. Memory retention means the pump resumes its last operating mode after a power interruption.

LED Display — Real-Time Watt Reading

The two-button LED control panel displays live power consumption in watts, the active operating mode, night reduction status, and the selected performance level. The display switches off after 10 seconds of inactivity to reduce power consumption, reactivating on any button press. All settings are accessible without tools.

Complete Installation Pack — 5-Year Warranty

Supplied complete with insulation shell, shrouded connector, 1.3 m power cable, and two flat gaskets — everything needed for a direct swap. Backed by Stuart Turner's full 5-year manufacturer's warranty, the longest in its class for a domestic trade circulator. Stuart Turner technical support: 0800 31 969 80 or [email protected].

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Will the Pulse Trade 25/60-130 replace my existing Grundfos / Wilo / Lowara pump?
In the majority of cases, yes. The Pulse Trade 25/60-130 has a standard 130 mm centre-to-centre fitting length and G 1½" BSP connections — the most common fitting specification for domestic heating circulators. It will directly replace any 130 mm fitting-length circulator without needing pipe adapters or modifications. Two flat gaskets are supplied. If your existing pump has a different fitting length (e.g. 180 mm), a different model will be required.
Which operating mode should I use for underfloor heating?
For underfloor heating, Constant Pressure (CP1 or CP2) is usually the best starting point — it maintains a fixed differential pressure across the manifold, ensuring all loops receive consistent flow. AUTO Smartadapt is also suitable for UFH as it self-learns the system demand over time. Proportional Pressure (PP1/PP2) is better suited to radiator systems. Avoid constant speed modes for UFH unless your manifold specifically requires it.
How do I switch the head range between 4 m and 6 m?
The head range is changed in service mode: disconnect the pump from the 230 V supply for at least 15 seconds, then reconnect and press both buttons simultaneously within 3 seconds. Use the mode button to select -4 (4 m range) or -6 (6 m range), then disconnect and reconnect power again to save the setting. For most domestic heating systems with modest pipework runs, the 4 m range is sufficient and gives the best energy efficiency. Use 6 m for larger properties or systems with higher resistance.
How does the automatic night setback work?
The night reduction function monitors the flow temperature of the heating system. When the flow temperature drops by more than 10–15 °C within one hour — indicating the boiler has gone to setback or shut off — the pump automatically reduces its speed to save energy. It returns to normal operation as soon as the flow temperature rises by 3 °C again. The pump must be installed on the flow (supply) side of the system for this to work correctly, and the system must have automatic temperature adjustment on the supply. Night reduction is not available in constant speed modes.
Can the Pulse Trade 25/60-130 be used with a pre-plumbed cylinder or boiler system?
Yes — the Pulse Trade 25/60-130 is specifically listed as suitable for underfloor heating, pre-plumbed cylinder, and boiler applications. When used as a primary circulator in a pre-plumbed cylinder package or integrated boiler system, set the pump to Constant Speed III at start-up as directed by the cylinder or boiler manufacturer's commissioning instructions. The AUTO Smartadapt and proportional pressure modes are better suited to standalone heating circuit circulation.
What does the 5-year warranty cover?
Stuart Turner warrants the Pulse Trade 25/60-130 free from defects in materials or workmanship for 5 years from the date of purchase. Within that period, Stuart Turner will repair or replace the unit at their discretion. The warranty does not cover damage from incorrect installation, improper use, unauthorised repair, normal wear and tear, or defects with negligible effect on performance. Warranty claims: call TechAssist on 0800 31 969 80 or email [email protected]. Proof of purchase and the product serial number will be required.
