Automatic Condensate Removal — No Gravity Drain Required

The Saniflo Sanicondens Pro (1082/5) is a compact automatic condensate pump purpose-built to lift and discharge acidic condensate when gravity drainage to a soil stack or drain is not possible or practical. It is ideal for condensing boilers, air conditioning units, dehumidifiers and refrigerated display cases — any appliance that produces condensate as a by-product of its operation.

Inside the unit, a large 2.2-litre reservoir collects incoming condensate. When the water level rises, an internal float automatically activates the sealed motor, which drives the pump impeller and forces the condensate out through the discharge hose — lifting it up to 4.5 metres vertically and pushing it up to 50 metres horizontally with a 1% fall. Once pumped, the float deactivates the motor until condensate accumulates again. Cycle times are typically just 3–5 seconds, keeping power consumption to a minimum.

The large tank is specifically designed to reduce the frequency of motor start cycles, protecting the motor from excessive wear and extending its operational life. The unit also includes a built-in non-return (check) valve on the discharge to prevent backflow into the reservoir.

⚠️ Important: Use with Condensing Boilers Requires a Neutraliser

Condensate from gas and oil condensing boilers is mildly acidic (pH as low as 2.5) and should be neutralised before discharge to a drain in most local authority jurisdictions. When used with a condensing boiler, the Sanicondens Pro must be installed in conjunction with the Saniflo Sanineutral or Sanineutral Mini neutralising filter (sold separately). No neutraliser is required for air conditioners, dehumidifiers or refrigerated units.

Applications

🔥 Condensing Gas & Oil Boilers Discharges boiler condensate when no gravity drain route exists. Use with Sanineutral neutralising filter. Supports gas boilers up to 50kW and oil boilers up to 30kW.
❄️ Air Conditioning Units Removes condensate from split-system and cassette air conditioning units installed where drainage is not readily accessible.
💧 Dehumidifiers Automatically pumps dehumidifier condensate to a remote drain, removing the need to manually empty a collection tank.
🧊 Refrigerated Display Cases Used in commercial refrigeration to dispose of defrost water and condensate where drain connections are impractical.
🏠 MVHR / Double-Flow Ventilation Can be used on mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR) systems to lift and discharge condensate from the heat exchanger unit.
🏢 Residential & Commercial Suitable for domestic properties, light commercial premises and anywhere condensate cannot drain freely under gravity.

Key Features

🔇 Quiet Operation — <45 dB(A) Noise level below 45 dB(A) — quieter than a library. Suitable for installation in kitchens, utility rooms and boiler cupboards without causing disturbance.
📦 Large 2.2L Tank The generous reservoir reduces start-stop frequency, protecting the motor from excessive cycling and dramatically extending service life.
🔒 Built-In Non-Return Valve The discharge connection includes a check valve that prevents condensate backflowing into the reservoir when the pump stops.
🔔 Alarm Pre-Connection The unit is pre-wired with an alarm connection cable for optional integration with an external overflow alarm or boiler lockout circuit — providing early warning in the event of a blockage or pump failure.
🪛 Flexible Mounting Mounts on a wall bracket or stands freely on a horizontal surface. Two 28mm inlets accommodate condensate from one or two appliances simultaneously.

Installation Overview

The Sanicondens Pro connects inline on the condensate outlet pipe(s) from your boiler, air conditioning unit or other appliance. Connect the appliance condensate outlet to one of the 28mm inlets on the top of the unit using the supplied adapters (rubber plug the unused inlet if only one appliance is connected). Run the 8mm or 10mm flexible discharge hose from the pump outlet up and away to the nearest suitable drain point — keeping within the 4.5m vertical and 50m horizontal limits. Connect the 1.5m mains lead to a fused spur or suitable electrical connection, and optionally connect the alarm pre-connection cable to an external overflow alarm or boiler lockout relay.

The pump can be wall-mounted using the integrated fixing holes or placed on a flat surface beside or below the boiler. It must not be installed above the boiler or heat source. When used with a condensing boiler, fit the Sanineutral or Sanineutral Mini neutralising filter in the condensate line upstream of the pump inlet.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a neutraliser with this pump? If you are using it with a condensing boiler, yes — boiler condensate is acidic and most local water authorities require it to be neutralised before discharge to a drain. Connect a Saniflo Sanineutral or Sanineutral Mini upstream of the pump inlet. For air conditioners, dehumidifiers and refrigerated units, no neutraliser is typically required.
What is the difference between the Sanicondens Pro and the Sanicondens Pro V02? The Sanicondens Pro V02 (SK6) is the updated successor to the original Sanicondens Pro (1082/5). The V02 has a revised design. If ordering, please check current stock availability — some suppliers may supply the V02 as the current equivalent. Check dimensions if retrofitting.
Can it handle hot condensate from the boiler? The pump is designed for continuous operation with condensate at up to 35°C, which covers normal boiler condensate temperatures. It can handle occasional spikes up to 80°C (e.g. during boiler start-up) but continuous operation at elevated temperatures is not recommended.
Can I connect two appliances to one pump? Yes — the Sanicondens Pro has two 28mm inlets. You can connect condensate from two separate appliances (e.g. a boiler and an air conditioning unit) to the same pump. Blank off the unused inlet with the supplied rubber plug if only one appliance is connected.
What happens if the pump fails or becomes blocked? The pre-wired alarm terminal allows connection to an external overflow alarm or boiler lockout circuit. If the pump cannot discharge condensate fast enough and the reservoir fills, the alarm circuit can trigger an audible alert or shut down the boiler to prevent condensate overflow — protecting the installation from water damage.
How quiet is the pump in operation? The Sanicondens Pro operates at below 45 dB(A) — quieter than a normal conversation at close range. Combined with very short running cycles (typically 3–5 seconds), it is barely noticeable in a utility room or boiler cupboard. The large 2.2-litre tank also reduces the number of start cycles, further minimising noise.
