OSO SUPER COIL Indirect Unvented Cylinders Pre-Plumbed 180L to 300L
The OSO Super Coil SC is an indirect unvented pre-plumbed hot water unvented cylinder available from 180L to 300L — engineered with OSO's patented S-Design that puts every valve, vessel, motorised zone valve, and cable connection under a single lid on top of the unit. This unvented cylinder unique design cuts installation time by up to 70% compared to conventional cylinders and makes the SC the most space-efficient indirect cylinder on the market. Backed by a 25-year tank warranty, the SC is the preferred choice for system boiler installations where speed, space, and reliability are non-negotiable.
The OSO Super Coil is unique: the blending valve, T&P valve, dual expansion vessels, motorised zone valve, and all pipework are factory-assembled under the top lid. Installers connect just the primary flow/return, cold water in, hot water out, and electrical supply — all from the top. A fitting template is supplied for fast pipework preparation before the cylinder is even in position.
OSO's field testing showed that more SC cylinders were installed in the same time as competitors' products thanks to the all-top connection design. Pre-plumbed, pre-wired, and supplied with a fitting template — the SC dramatically reduces commissioning time and labour cost.
The complete G3 unvented kit is factory-fitted: 2-port Honeywell zone valve, strainer, PRV, expansion relief valve, drain cock, tundish, and two factory-fitted 6L expansion vessels. All components are hidden under the top lid — no exposed pipework runs and no external vessel to mount separately.
Because all ancillaries are integrated on top, the SC occupies less total height than any equivalent cylinder plus its associated external equipment. SC cylinders up to 210L can also share a footprint with a washing machine using the optional OSO washing machine frame.
The INCOTEC immersion heater provides electric backup independently of the primary boiler circuit. It is fully compatible with solar PV diverters and smart electricity tariffs — connecting via an appropriate interface for solar panel systems.
The inner vessel is fabricated from 1.3mm stainless steel using OSO's ULTRAWELD process — superior weld quality and corrosion resistance backed by a genuine 25-year tank warranty. Suitable for all UK water hardness zones.
The smooth heating coil does not encourage limescale build-up — maintaining heat transfer efficiency over the long term and reducing the need for maintenance descaling treatments.
Supplied with an adjustable thermostat (20–70°C, preset 60°C) and the Honeywell 2-port zone valve factory-fitted. Compatible with both S-plan and Y-plan central heating systems — no additional valve procurement required.
Because all components are concentrated at the top of the unit, annual servicing and component access is straightforward — the engineer doesn't need to reach behind or underneath the cylinder for routine maintenance checks.
Must be installed by a G3 registered competent engineer. All installation work must comply with Building Regulation G3 and Water Regulations. Solid fuel boilers and non-thermostatically controlled heat sources must not be connected.
