InSinkErator Boiling Hot and Cold Filtered Water Tap with NeoTank Trade Kit — Chrome

The InSinkErator HC3300CTRADE is a complete trade kit comprising the HC3300 chrome instant hot and cold water tap, the NeoTank 2.5-litre under-sink heating tank, and a filter pack — everything required for a single-hole installation. A single lever on the swivel-spout chrome tap dispenses both near-boiling filtered water up to 99°C and filtered cold water on demand, with no kettle, no lead, and no wait. The compact NeoTank fits neatly under the kitchen sink, heats water using a 1,300 W element, and maintains your set temperature to within ±1°C. It delivers approximately 100 cups of near-boiling water per hour. A child safety spring-lock on the hot lever prevents accidental scalding, and the tap body remains cool to the touch at all times. The kit is backed by a 2-year manufacturer's warranty.

⚡ Installation Note — A 35–38 mm diameter deck-mounted hole is required in the sink or worktop. The NeoTank connects to a standard 13A plug socket under the sink — no hardwiring required. Cold mains supply pressure must be between 1.7 and 8.6 bar; if your incoming mains pressure exceeds 8.6 bar, a pressure reducing valve must be fitted upstream. The filter should be replaced every 6 months to maintain warranty validity.
ℹ What's Included in the HC3300CTRADE Kit
  • HC3300C chrome tap — single-lever, swivel spout, polished chrome brass body
  • NeoTank — 2.5-litre stainless steel under-sink heating tank with digital adjustable thermostat
  • Filter pack — InSinkErator NXTF filter (reduces chlorine, lead, and limescale; includes scale reduction technology)
  • Full installation kit — fittings and fixings for deck-mounted installation
Features & Benefits
✔ Instant Near-Boiling Water — No Kettle
Near-boiling filtered water is available instantly, on demand, any time the tank is powered. Making a cup of tea takes less than 8 seconds — compared to 3–4 minutes to boil a kettle. With a throughput of approximately 100 cups per hour, the HC3300 handles the hot drinks demands of a busy household without depleting the tank.
✔ Single Lever — Hot and Cold from One Tap
A single swivel spout with one dual-function lever dispenses both near-boiling hot water and filtered cold water. The lever operates left/right or centre-positioned, making the tap adaptable to most sink configurations. The J-shaped spout swivels 360° to serve both bowls in a double-sink installation.
✔ Child Safety Spring-Lock
The hot water side of the lever incorporates a spring-loaded child safety lock — it must be pushed down and then pulled in a two-stage action to release hot water. The lever automatically closes and cuts off hot water flow the instant it is released, preventing unintended or prolonged hot water flow. The tap body itself is insulated and remains cool to the touch even at 99°C delivery temperature.
✔ NeoTank — Adjustable Digital Thermostat
The NeoTank's electronic thermostat is adjustable between 88°C and 99°C, factory preset at 96°C. It maintains the set temperature to within ±1°C with minimal energy draw at standby (19.4 W). Tool-free tank connections and a built-in dry-start protection system make installation and commissioning straightforward for installers.
✔ Built-in Filtration — Better-Tasting Water
The included InSinkErator NXTF filter reduces chlorine, lead, and other taste-impairing chemicals and impurities from both the hot and cold water delivered by the tap. Scale reduction technology inside the filter protects the heating element from limescale build-up — particularly important in hard-water areas. The filter head includes an automatic shut-off valve that stops water flow during replacement, preventing mess.
✔ Energy Efficient — Only Heats What You Use
Unlike a kettle which boils a full 1.7L every time, the NeoTank maintains a 2.5-litre reservoir at temperature — delivering each cup from pre-heated water rather than heating from cold. Standby energy consumption is just 19.4 W at maximum temperature, significantly less than a typical 3 kW kettle running multiple cycles per day. No heating element is energised during delivery — only during top-up reheating.
✔ Compact Under-Sink Installation
The NeoTank (150 × 150 × 150 mm) is compact enough to fit in most standard kitchen sink cupboards alongside pipework, the waste trap, and other under-sink items. It plugs into a standard 13A socket — no dedicated electrical circuit or hardwiring is needed. Cold mains water connects to the tap via standard flexible hoses.
✔ Premium Chrome Finish — Contemporary Design
The HC3300 tap is manufactured from solid brass with a polished chrome finish, designed to complement modern and contemporary kitchen styles. At 235 mm tall with a 155 mm spout reach and 140 mm spout height, it sits neatly alongside a main mixer tap without dominating the sink area. The clean, minimal single-lever form works equally well on sinks and worktops.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the HC3300CTRADE and the standard HC3300C?
The HC3300CTRADE is a complete trade kit — it includes the HC3300C chrome tap, the NeoTank under-sink heating unit, and a filter pack in a single box, making it the correct item to order for a new installation. The standard HC3300C is the replacement tap only — intended for customers who already have a working InSinkErator tank and only need to replace the tap itself. Always order the CTRADE version for a fresh installation.
Does it need a dedicated electrical circuit?
No — the NeoTank plugs into a standard 13A socket under the sink, which is how most UK under-sink hot water units are connected. At 1,300 W / 5.7 A, it draws well within a standard 13A socket rating. However, the socket must be accessible and should ideally be switched so the tank can be isolated if needed. Your plumber or electrician can advise on the correct socket location in line with Part P of the Building Regulations.
How does the hot lever safety work — and is it suitable for a home with young children?
The hot water lever requires a deliberate two-stage action: push down and then pull towards you. This prevents a child from accidentally operating it with a casual brush or pull. Additionally, the lever is spring-loaded — the moment you release it, the hot water flow stops automatically. The tap body itself is thermally insulated and remains cool to the touch even at 99°C delivery temperature. These features make it one of the safer boiling water tap designs, though as with any near-boiling water appliance, supervision of young children around the tap is always advisable.
How often does the filter need replacing, and what happens if I don't replace it?
InSinkErator specifies a 6-month filter replacement interval. This is not just for water quality — the filter contains scale reduction media that protects the heating element from limescale fouling, which is particularly important in hard-water areas. Failing to replace the filter at the recommended interval voids the manufacturer's warranty. Only genuine InSinkErator NXTF filters maintain warranty coverage — third-party filters are not recommended. The filter head has a built-in automatic shut-off valve, so no tools or plumbing expertise is required for routine filter changes.
Will it work if my mains water pressure is low or high?
The system requires a minimum mains cold water pressure of 1.7 bar — most UK properties connected to the mains supply will exceed this. If your supply pressure is below 1.7 bar (common in some older properties or those at the end of a supply run), the unit may not function correctly. At the other end, if your supply pressure exceeds 8.6 bar, a pressure reducing valve (PRV) must be fitted on the cold supply to the tap to protect the system. Your plumber can test your supply pressure and fit a PRV if required.
